WHISKEY COOKIES 
1 lb. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/4 c. whiskey
1 egg, unbeaten

Cream butter, add sugar and cream again. Add egg and beat. Add whiskey alternately with flour, mix well.

Spoon dough on wax paper and shape into long rolls (about 5 rolls).

Place rolls in freezer. Chill until firm (1 to 2 hours). When firm, slice thin and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in 375 degree oven about 5 to 10 minutes or until edges turn brown.

Remove cookies immediately from cookie sheet and store in cool spot.
