SALISBURY STEAK IN MUSHROOM
SAUCE
 
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can Golden Mushroom soup, divided
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 c. dry bread or cracker crumbs
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 sm. onion, finely chopped
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/3 c. water

In medium bowl, combine 1/4 of the soup with beef, crumbs, egg and onion and pepper; mix thoroughly. Shape into six patties; arrange in single layer in shallow baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees uncovered for 30 minutes. Spoon off fat. Combine remaining soup and water; spoon over patties. Continue baking 10 minutes.
