STRAWBERRY WALNUT GOURMET BARS 
1 c. (2, 1/4 sticks) butter
1 c. sugar
2 egg yolks
2 c. unsifted flour, stir to aerate before measuring
1/2 c. strawberry jam
Walnuts

Cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg yolks. Gradually stir in flour, the walnuts. Pat half of mixture into buttered 9 inch square pan. Spread with jam. Shape remaining mixture into a 4 1/2 inch square, chill if necessary to halve very firm. Cut into 14 strips, place strips over jam with edges touching to cover jam as completely as possible. Smooth edges with small spatula. Bake in preheated oven 325 degrees until lightly browned (55 minutes) loosen edges, cool in pan. Cut into small bars.
