MINI PASTIES 
4 pkgs. crescent rolls
2 lbs. ground chuck
1 c. grated potatoes
1/2 c. grated carrots
1/4 c. minced onion
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
Butter

Mix the raw ground chuck, grated potatoes, grated carrots, minced onion, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Take each piece of crescent roll dough and cut the triangle in half. So that each package of 8 rolls becomes 16 triangles. from the ground chuck mixture form a meatballs (1 inch diameter) and place in middle of each triangle. Put a pat of butter on each meatball and fold like a diaper, sealing all seams by pinching. Bake at 375 degrees on a cookie sheet for 13 minutes. To reheat frozen pasties, place in tin foil and bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Makes 64. This recipe was entered in the Pillsbury Bake Off by my cousin.
