Combine ingredients in a non-aluminum saucepan. Place over medium heat and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
Strain mixture and serve hot in mugs. Or place in a punch bowl and let your guests help themselves.
Makes 6 servings. VARIATION: HOT MULLED PINEAPPLE JUICE: Combine 1 (46 oz.) can unsweetened pineapple juice, 1 (2") piece cinnamon stick, 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg, 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice, dash of ground cloves. Then follow above instructions.
