It's even good in the microwave!!! I set my oven to turn on and cook, but it got turned off. So, in a pinch for a side dish, I threw it in the microwave for 20 minutes. Everyone loved it!

I tried the recipe and added 1 small diced onion and 1 teaspoon of red pepper flake for a spicy touch. Yummy! If you don't like red pepper flake, also try 2 tablespoons green bell pepper.

This is a very good recipe. Its also good if you add french fried onions to the top.

I crushed Doritos ranch, melted a litle butter mixed with some extra grated cheese and put on top for about last 10 minutes. "The kids" loved it. Another variation is to slice up smoked sausage and mix in, add a salad and you've got dinner, they love that too. It's just a great easy recipe no matter what you do! Thanks!

I add bacon chopped up, onion, red pepper and chives to the potatoes with corn flakes/butter for the topping. I am REQUIRED to have it at ALL family gatherings.

The trick is cream of onion soup...it tastes perfect everytime...using light sour cream and margarine instead of butter lower the fat, but keep the same great taste!

I like using cubed cheese in addition to shredded cheese. It adds extra little pockets of cheesy-ness!

I throw the ingredients into my large crock pot and take it to work pot lucks. It's always a big hit.
