PFEFFERNUSSE (GERMAN) PEPPERNUTS 
2 eggs
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
3/4 c. sugar
3 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. melted butter
1/4 c. honey

Beat eggs; add sugars and beat for 15 minutes. Mix together dry ingredients; gradually add to egg-sugar mixture, beating constantly. Mix in butter and honey. Knead for 1 minute on lightly floured surface. Shape into 1/2" balls. Place 1" apart on greased cookie sheet. Keep unused dough covered with plastic wrap. Bake 10 to 15 minutes until firm. Cool; store in air tight container.
