Very good, if not very traditional! Awesome with fried chicken. I used a banana pepper with a tinge of heat to it instead of green pepper, and it added a nice piquancy.

This recipe was a complete home-run for a newbie cook (me)! My husband & I loved it! I used yellow pepper instead of green (because that's what I had) and it made the dish so colorful and pretty!

Delicious! First time I've been able to eat greens. Not boiled to death. Of course, it's hard to go wrong with bacon ;-)

Delicious. This recipe is a great way to enjoy turnip greens without all the fatty meat they are usually boiled in.

I've been growing turnips for at least 50 years and have always thrown the tops in the compost. This year the turnips for some reason didn't develop the fruit, but the tops did great. Decided to try cooking the greens so the crop wasn't a total loss, let me say this I won't be using all the tops for compost anymore. This recipe was great, my wife and I both liked it enough to have it often. Next time I'll fix the greens with fried fish and my home made polenta. I can't say enough about how good they tasted. The only thing I'll change is a little less salt, with the saltlyness of the bacon it was just a bit salty for us. Try this recipe, you won't be sorry.

Turnip greens are very beneficial for people with O blood but, rarely saw them in the stores. Saw bunches of them from a local grower at the Food Lion for 99 cents a bunch...I bought two bunches and tried this recipe...very tasty. I didn't have a green pepper so I used my homegrown red, yellow and orange peppers. Yummy!
