1 cabbage
Salt and pepper as needed

Shred cabbage. Fill jar. Place 1 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon sugar on top of cabbage in jar. Fill with boiling water and seal. Leave to cure about 3 to 4 weeks or until color changes.
