1 lb. pinto beans 1 sm. jar salsa 1 lg. onion 1 tbsp. vinegar 1 tsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt Rinse and sort beans. Cover beans with water in soup pot and bring to boil; simmer 2 minutes; remove from heat; let stand 1 hour. Add remaining ingredients and more water to cover. Bring to boil and simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Serve with warm cornbread and honey. |
