BEEF BROCCOLI PIE 
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. chopped onion
2 tbsp. flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. milk
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 egg, beaten
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen, chopped broccoli, cooked and well drained
Pastry for 2 crust (9 inch) pies
4 oz. Monterey Jack cheese
Milk to brush on crust

Brown beef and onion; drain fat. Stir in flour and salt. Add milk and cream cheese. Cook and stir until smooth and bubbly. Add beaten egg to a portion of hot mixture, then add to remaining mixture. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened, 1 to 2 minutes. Stir in cooked broccoli. Set aside. Line a 9 inch pie plate with half the pastry. Fill pastry with hot mixture. Slice cheese and arrange on top of meat mixture. Seal with top crust and perforate crust. Brush top with milk. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Let pie stand for 10 minutes before serving. Serves 6.

I've made this type of recipe years ago. Thought of it the other day and found it here. My brother and his family loved it as much as I do. Was a delicious way to get my kids to eat broccoli.

This was a favorite of mine when I was young.. My mom worked 2 jobs and us kids would make this for dinner, it was easy for us, and We LOVE it.. I make it for my husband now..
