Super fast and easy and the end product tastes like you spent hours making it.

I've made a few stroganoff recipes, and found this one to be just "okay". I made it exactly as written, using a combination of ground turkey (some frozen leftovers) and ground beef, and a yellow onion. I served it over some extra-wide no-yolk noodles. I thought this was too saucy for my taste - maybe half the amount of sour cream would have been plenty. And stroganoff is never very spicy, but this tasted a bit blander than usual, too. I did gobble it all down over two days, but I've tasted better versions.

I have made this with ground beef many times as well as ground turkey many times. I add a little Worcestershire sauce to the gravy which adds to the taste. Other than that, maybe add a small can of extra mushrooms. We love it.

I agree with Carroll (California). The Worcestershire sauce and extra mushrooms really help. An addition of fresh tarragon, in the sauce and as a topping, make it almost gourmet.
