ORANGE - LEMON SAUCE: 1 c. sugar 4 tbsp. cornstarch Dash of salt 3/4 c. water 1 c. orange juice 1/4 c. fresh lemon juice Stir all ingredients together and bring to a boil over medium heat and cook until thick. Chill while preparing the rest of the recipe. BASE: 1 pkg. prepared sugar cookie dough, cut into 1/8 inch slices Lay sliced cookie dough on a greased 12 inch pizza pan with sides just touching and bake as you would for cookies. When completely cooled, spread the cheese mixture over the base. CHEESE MIX: 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. powdered sugar Cream together until very smooth. FRUIT TOPPING: 1 c. frozen strawberries, sliced 1 c. sliced peaches, drained 1 c. canned pineapple chunks 1/4 - 1/2 c. frozen blueberries 1 c. fresh banana sliced Creatively arrange the fruit over the cheese mixture. Then pour the cooled orange-lemon sauce over the fruit, sealing to the edges. This will also keep the bananas, etc. from turning dark. Yields: 12 dessert size servings. |
