GULAB JAMAN 
9 rounded tbsp. powdered milk
2 rounded tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. melted shortening
Pinch of soda
2-3 tbsp. milk

SYRUP:

1 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. water
Pinch of cream of tartar

Mix powdered milk, flour, shortening, soda and milk all together and form into balls.

Put small amount of oil in fry pan and fry balls on low until slightly brown on all sides.

Combine syrup ingredients and heat until hot. Drop the balls into hot syrup and cook about 3 minutes. Remove and serve warm.
