GREEN BEANS HORSERADISH | |
2 (16 oz.) cans whole green beans 1 lg. onion, sliced Several bits of ham, diced 2 hard boiled eggs, grated 1 c. mayonnaise 1 heaping tbsp. horseradish 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. garlic salt 1/4 tsp. celery salt 1 1/2 tsp. parsley flakes Juice of 1 lemon Cook beans, ham and onion slowly for 1 hour in a medium saucepan. While beans are cooking, blend the other ingredients and set aside at room temperature. When beans are ready to be served; drain them and pour beans, ham and onion into serving dish. Spoon the mayonnaise mixture over these. These are excellent when served as a cold leftover dish, or they can be stuffed in tomatoes. Serves 8. |
