CRYSTAL CANDY 
4 c. sugar
1 c. water
1 c. light corn syrup
5 drops of red food coloring
3/4 tsp. oil of cinnamon

Combine sugar, water, and syrup in a large Dutch oven. Bring to a boil over medium heat stirring constantly. Stir in food coloring. Continue to cook, without stirring, until mixture reaches hard stage (300 degrees). Remove from heat and stir in oil of cinnamon. Working rapidly, spread mixture onto an oiled 15 x 10 x 1 inch jelly roll pan. Let cool; break into pieces.

NOTE: Oil of cinnamon may be purchased at drug stores.
