GRANDMA'S DONUTS | |
1 pkg. Fleischmann's yeast, dissolved in 1 c. lukewarm water 4 tbsp. oil 4 tbsp. sugar 1 egg 1/2 tsp. salt Combine above ingredients. Add flour until very stiff (approximately 3 1/2 to 4 cups). Knead. Place in greased bowl and let sit until double in bulk (cover with plastic wrap). Roll out and cut with donut cutter. Let set 30 minutes. Fry and glaze or drain and shake in a bag of sugar. |
