1 c. sugar
2 tsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. butter
5 c. apples
1 1/2 c. Bisquick mix
4 tsp. water
2/3 c. light cream
2 grated lemon peel

Preheat oven to 450F.

Combine sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon in a sauce pan. Add water. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, add butter and apples. Pour into a shallow baking dish.

Combine Bisquick and 2 tablespoons sugar, and lemon peel. Drop in 6 mounds around edge of baking dish. Combine rest of mix and spread on apples.

Bake for 25 minutes or until apples are done and crust is golden brown.

Serve with whipped cream or over vanilla ice cream while still warm.
