KRINGLA 
1 carton whipping cream
1/2 c. buttermilk
3 egg yolks
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
3 - 3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder

Mix first six ingredients well. Mix soda and baking powder into flour before adding first mixture. Use a heaping teaspoon of dough for each Kringla. Roll about 10" long and twist to a Figure 8. Bake at 450 to 475 degrees until lightly browned. Bake on top shelf. Watch closely.

Makes 3 dozen.

This is the recipe I use every year for kringla. I roll mine out in powdered sugar to give just a hint of sweet and they brown nicer that way as well. Get the kids involved, this is a labor intensive cookie, but well worth it.
