RAILROAD SLAW 
3 c. firmly packed & thinly shredded green cabbage
3 tbsp. minced onion
1/4 c. sugar (scant)
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
1/4 tsp. celery salt
1/4 c. white vinegar
1/4 c. oil

Sprinkle cabbage with onion and sugar. In a small pan whisk together the remaining ingredients, stirring often. Bring to a boil. Pour at once over the cabbage. Mix thoroughly. Cover and chill at least 4 hours before serving. Keeps well for at least 5 days. Makes 4-6 servings.
