6 cups Crispix cereal 1/2 cup peanut butter 1/2 cup butter 12 ounce chocolate chips 2 cups powdered sugar
Melt peanut butter, butter and chocolate chips together in the microwave or on the stove. Stir into cereal. Put powdered sugar in a paper sack. Put cereal mixture in and shake until well coated.
Absolutely love this recipe. I would eat it everyday if i could.

We added the twisted pretzels to the recipe. I didn't measure out how much pretzels I used. It was close to half a bag of them. It was a hit last year at Christmas time.

I've tried several puppy chow recipes, and this is my favorite! I actually use the Publix Crispix. I've tried both, but the Publix seems to keep the ingredients together more.

You put the powdered sugar in a paper bag?? Could you use plastic ziploc as well? Seems like it would make less of a mess!!!

Yes, we always use a plastic ziploc bag. I think it is easier.

I use a whole 12 oz. box of cereal, and mix in a huge 12-in. Tupperware bowl with cover. Cinnamon lovers will enjoy using Hershey's cinnamon chips instead of chocolate chips.

This recipe is one of the best! I usually use a garbage bag, it's much more fun, especially when making this with younger kids. Getting your arms covered in chocolate, buttery peanut butter and then eating out of the garbage bag is the BEST!

Quick question: Would I be able to put red and green sprinkles in with the powdered sugar to make the puppy chow more Christmassy? Would the powdered sugar just cover it up? Any suggestions on how to make this Christmassy if that wouldn't work?
