CHICKEN AND DUMPLINGS
 

1 frying chicken
1 sm. onion, chopped
1/4 tsp. curry powder
1 c. carrots, cooked
2 c. egg noodles, uncooked
6 qt. Dutch oven
Bisquick mix
Water enough to cover frying chicken

Put chicken, onion and curry powder into 6 quart Dutch oven. Cover with water. Bring to a boil and boil until chicken is thoroughly cooked. Remove chicken from pot and debone. Discard bones and return chicken meat, carrots and uncooked egg noodles to pot containing stock with onion and curry powder.

Make dumplings according to Bisquick recipe on box. Drop by spoonfuls on top of liquid containing chicken, carrots and egg noodles. Cook 10 minutes on medium heat. Turn heat down on to low and cover, then cook an additional 10 minutes. Remove from heat and serve. Makes 4 servings of 2 dumplings plus chicken mixture per person.
