1 c. sugar 4 eggs 1/2 c. butter, softened 1 tsp. vanilla 1 (16 oz.) can chocolate syrup 1 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. nuts, chopped (optional) 1/2 c. butter 2 c. confectioners sugar 2 tbsp. green creme de menthe liqurer 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semisweet chocolate chips 6 tbsp. butter Preheat oven to 350 degrees. For brownie layer: cream sugar, eggs, butter, and vanilla together. Stir in syrup. Add flour and salt. Add nuts. Pour into 9 x 13 x 2 pan. Bake for 30 minutes. Cool. Remove from pan. For mint layer: combine butter, confectioner's sugar and creme de menthe. Beat to spreading consistency. Frost brownies; chill several hours. For frosting: combine chocolate chips and butter in saucepan; melt and blend. Cool slightly. Spread evenly over mint layer. Cool and cut into 1 inch squares. Brownies freeze well. |
