CHERRY-PINEAPPLE DUMP CAKE 
1 can (16 oz.) crushed pineapple
1 can (20 oz.) cherry pie filling
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1/2 - 2/3 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. butter

Grease 9x13 pan. Dump in pineapple with juice, spreading evenly. Pour cherry pie filling over pineapple, spreading evenly. Add dry cake mix evenly over fruit. Add nuts. Drizzle melted butter over top. Do not mix. Bake 350 degrees for 1 hour.

This was tasty! I put nuts of half, so the kids would eat it too. We all loved it. I accidentally bought pineapple tidbits, but it gave it a nice texture and make it more tart :)

Growing up this was one of my favorite recipes; my mother used to add brown sugar on top of the melted butter.

When I make this cake I cut the butter into the dry cake mix before putting on top. It makes it brown more consistenly and you are not eating dry cake mix. It is a very good cake.

Oh yeah, I love this recipe!!!

The only thing I change is I sprinkle brown sugar on the top! It adds a little caramelization!!! Especially if you pop the temp up to 425-450°F for the last 10 minutes or so.
