1/2 c. oil 3/4 c. granulated brown sugar 1 c. applesauce 1 1/2 c. unsifted whole wheat flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 c. raisins (optional)
Oil and flour an 8 inch round or square baking pan or muffin tins. Cream the oil and sugar together and mix in the applesauce and baking soda. Add flour and cinnamon, blending thoroughly. Pour the batter into pan or make individual cakes in muffin tins. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes for an 8 inch cake; about 20 minutes for cupcakes.
Love these! I added a little egg white and subbed part brown sugar. I added a little icing on the top of some and crumb topping on the others.....excellent! Thank you :)

Great!! I used butter instead of oil for batch number 2 (ran out of oil) and made them mini and baked to perfection in 12 minutes. I made the applesauce at home when I made my son's baby food - ssooo easy and yummy!
