MANDEL BREAD - CHOCOLATE CHIP
 

3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 stick butter
3 c. flour
1 c. sugar
Pinch salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
12 oz. bag chocolate chips
1/2 - 1 c. walnuts, chopped

TOPPING:

Mixture of: 2 c. sugar

Mix wet ingredients first (eggs, vanilla, butter). Add dry ingredients (flour, sugar, salt, baking soda, baking powder). Add nuts and chocolate chips to mixture.

Mixture will seem sticky, but wet hands and make 4 balls. Grease a cookie sheet and shape balls into long, narrow loaves (two to a sheet). Sprinkle with topping mixture. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Let stand to cool before cutting.

Note: Make sure your hands are wet when shaping the dough.
