PICKLED JALAPENO PEPPERS
 

Jalapeno peppers
1 c. water
1 tbsp. onion powder
1 tbsp. sugar (as you like)
1 tbsp. salt
1 tbsp. celery seed
1 tbsp. mustard seed

(about 1 tablespoon of all spices, give or take.)

Heat liquid (seasoning and water); then add peppers. Heat thoroughly. Add a pinch of alum in each jar. Can in water bath about 15 minutes.
