2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 c. milk

Mix above ingredients. Cook in microwave for a minute. Stir. Add shredded cheese if desired. Continue heating for 30 seconds. Stir, heat, stir until desired thickness.
