1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 lg. can peaches, sliced or cherries (reserve about 1/4 c. juice
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. milk

Melt butter in 9"x13" baking dish. In separate bowl mix sugar, flour, baking powder and milk. (Do not beat; mix will be slightly lumpy.) Pour over melted butter. Arrange fruit and 1/4 cup reserved juice. Sprinkle 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Bake 1 hour at 325 degrees.
