REUBEN CASSEROLE
2 cans corned beef
1 large can sauerkraut (approximately 16 oz.)
2 bottles Thousand Island Dressing
1 1/2 lbs. Swiss Cheese
2 pkgs of Rye Party party slices bread

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Spray a 13x9 cake pan with butter flavored Pam (or brush with butter).

Drain sauerkraut, leaving a small amount of liquid.

Slice corned beef around 3/16 of an inch thick.

Put 1 layer of party slices in bottom of pan, 1 layer of corned beef, 1 layer of sauerkraut, 1 smooth layer of Thousand Island Dressing, 1 layer of Swiss cheese. Repeat layers until ingredients are used. At the end put one more layer of party slices on top and spray lightly with Pam or brush with melted butter.

Bake for 20 to 30 minutes until top is golden brown. Use a metal spatula to serve (makes cutting easier). Cut into squares similar to lasagna.

Thank you and enjoy!

Wow - I am a big fan of Reuben in sandwich form, and I've never heard of this, but love the idea of it! Thanks so much!

I tried several "Reuben" casserole recipies trying to find one I could serve customers on "Movie Day" at my bar. This recipe is the standout! Potato Salad and some good Kosher Dills, made for a simple but complete buffet lunch.

I did cut back a bit on the Thousand Island and combined it with the kraut before spreading on each layer. Just made things simpler.

Thanks for this GREAT recipe. My regulars are already asking when I plan to make it again!

I just had this for the first time at a Bible study and couldn't stop eating it. I did find it a little too rich and am currently suffering. I don't like rye bread and think traditional pumpernickel would be better. Bread is a must. I just gorged myself eating it down. Lesson learned.

I made this and it was awesome. I used one bottle of dressing and used deli corned beef (it was cheaper than canned). It was amazing! My husband couldn't get enough! Yummy.

This was good. I used deli corned beef sliced thin, ordered a pound and did not use it all. I also just drizzled the salad dressing on the layers and it was plenty, did not use a whole bottle. This was great, my husband really liked it.
