SNICKERDOODLES 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted cake flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk

TOPPING:

1/4 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
3 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to creamed mixture in thirds, alternating with milk, beating smooth after each addition. Set paper baking cups in medium muffin pans, spoon in batter, filling half full. Combine topping ingredients to sprinkle over batter. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes or until done. Makes 2 dozen.
