CHERRY COBBLER 
4 c. tart cherries (fresh, frozen or canned)
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. almond extract
1 can cherry pie filling
1/2 c. sugar

(Omit sugar if sweetened cherries are used.)

Put above into saucepan and heat.

TOPPING:

1 c. flour
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. rolled oats (quick or old fashioned)
1/2 c. milk
1 beaten egg

While fruit mixture is heating, prepare topping by stirring together dry ingredients. Cut in butter. Stir in rest of ingredients and mix only until moistened.

When fruit in saucepan is steaming hot, transfer to a two quart casserole and drop spoonfuls of topping over surface. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until topping is golden brown in a preheated 375 degree oven. Good warm or cold with ice cream.
