14 oz. pkg. Kraft caramels 1/2 c. evaporated milk 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix 3/4 c. melted butter 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1/3 c. evaporated milk 1 c. chopped nuts 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips Melt caramels and 1/2 cup evaporated milk in double boiler. Mix together with spoon by hand the cake mix, 3/4 cup butter, vanilla, 1/3 cup evaporated milk and nuts. Spread half of this batter in 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes. Put chocolate chips on top of baked batter. Drizzle caramel mixture over chips. Crumble remaining mixture over top. Bake 16 to 20 minutes. |
