4 - H BEEF JERKY | |
1 1/2 lbs. flank steak, partially frozen 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 1/2 tsp. black pepper 1 tsp. onion powder 1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce 1/4 c. soy sauce 2 tbsp. liquid smoke Trim off fat. Slice meat in strips 2 inches long and 1/2 inch thick. Place in shallow baking dish. Combine all other ingredients and pour over meat. Marinate overnight. Preheat oven to 125 degrees. Cover bottom of oven with foil and remove lower rack. Insert toothpicks through the top of each strip and place toothpick across the bars of the oven rack so meat does not touch rack. Leave oven door open a crack and bake 8 to 12 hours or until meat is chewy. Test by tasting occasionally. |
