CAMERA SHOP RUM BALLS 
Shop early for the vanilla wafers if you're making these for the Christmas holidays. They can be hard to find. Be sure to use dark rum.

2 1/2 c. crushed vanilla wafers
1 c. powdered sugar
2 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. finely chopped walnuts (very fine - use the processor)
1/3 c. light corn syrup
1/4 c. dark rum (or more if needed)

Start with the 1/4 cup rum, add the rest later, if you have to, stirring in well. You don't want them too sticky, just enough to hold together.

Combine dry ingredients. Mix 1/4 cup of rum with syrup and add to dry ingredients. Let stand 30 minutes.

At this point, check consistency to determine if more rum should be added.

Roll with hands into balls about the size of walnuts. Roll in powdered sugar.

Store in air-tight container.
