3/4 c. sugar 1 egg 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/4 c. nut meats 1 tsp. salt 1 c. Patty Pan squash, grated 1 tsp. vanilla Ice cream of whipped toppings Beat egg and sugar. Mix well. Add the dry ingredients plus squash, nuts, vanilla. Pour into greased pie pan or 8 inch cake pan. Bake at 300 degrees about 45 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream topping. This cake contains no shortening. Freezes well and is even better the second day after baking. |
