I was looking for a Banana bread with no oil or butter. This recipe is awesome. I made it without the frosting and it has now become my top Banana bread recipe. My family loves Banana bread so I try to make it frequently. Now I can feel I am giving them a bread that is better for them and taste great. Thanks

I made this based on the reviews and was so pleased. It's very good--I didn't miss the oil at all. I used cinnamon and mixture of brown and white sugars for extra flavor. Taking it to work tomorrow again.

This is a great recipe that was moister than any banana bread I have made before! I made it as muffins and it makes about 20 muffins. Definitely gonna keep this one! It was even more moist the next day, so it's great for a make ahead dish :) I'm making it again tonight for breakfast with coworkers tomorrow!

I just made this! I doubled the recipe and used 1 cup brown sugar and 1 cup granulated stevia. I'd advise against using stevia because it gave the crust a little bit of a chewy texture. If I had just gone with the original recipe, it would have been great! It's got a really nice, subtle banana flavor. It would also be delicious with spices , nuts, raisins, or peanut butter. It's a great basic recipe to have on hand that you can do any sort of fun, different touches to make it something new.

Very good recipe - super tasty bread! The baking time was longer for me for some reason. I made it 2 different days, and it seemed to need about 55-60 minutes. Also, I added 1 cup of walnuts - no frosting. It definitely didn't need the frosting! Great tasting the way it is! :)

I was out of applesauce so I used 2 apples and made some! I also used less sugar, but used sugar for a crumble topping. I added 1/2 cup of walnuts. The recipe is in the oven, but the batter tastes delicious, so I have no doubt the end product will be wonderful.

Loved it! I doubled recipe and substituted the second portion of apple sauce with yogurt for calcium. I also added whole wheat flour and ground flax I omitted the sugar all together and added high quality chocolate chips instead. So good!

Awesome recipe, I always have these ingredients on hand. I change the flour to whole wheat (hardly even notice) and add about a cup of peanut butter chips... Changed my life! :)

I made this with whole wheat flour and with a half cup of brown sugar and a half cup of honey instead of using white sugar. The inside of the bread was incredibly moist, although we had to add a few minutes to the cook time and the crust ended up a bit chewy. With the exception of the way the crust turned out, it's the best banana bread I've ever had. We mixed in some semi-sweet chocolate chips and it's really quite delicious! Will try again next time with 1 cup brown sugar, omitting the honey we tried this time in an attempt to fix the texture of the crust. The whole wheat flour is unnoticeable in taste but makes a difference in health!

so delicious!!! extremely fluffy! doubled the recipe. It made 2 loafs and 24 muffins. I added chocolate chips to the last 12 muffins after reading the comments from others. Will freeze the muffins, gave a loaf away and we've already started in on the other loaf. YUM!!! simple, easy, and quick!
