CARNE GUISADA
 

1 1/2 lbs. boneless chuck steak or stew meat
2 tbsp. cooking oil
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. diced onions
1/4 c. diced bell pepper
2-3 tomatoes or 1 can whole tomatoes
1 clove garlic, minced
1 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp. ground cumino

In skillet, pour cooking oil and cook beef, onion, bell pepper and garlic until meat is brown and onion is tender. Add flour and stir until the flour is blended well with the natural juices. Add water, tomatoes, salt, pepper and cumino. Cover and simmer for 45 minutes. Serve as a main dish with flour tortillas.
