1 to 2 lb. hamburger 1 can sauerkraut (16 oz.) 1 can stewed tomatoes OR 1 can cream of mushroom soup & 1 can water 1 c. raw long grain rice 1 c. water Salt & pepper to taste 1 sm. onion Brown hamburger with small diced onion, salt and pepper to taste. Layer sauerkraut over hamburger in casserole, then raw rice. Pour tomatoes or mushroom soup over all and then water. Salt and pepper each layer. Bake at 350 degrees until rice is tender - about 1 hour. You may toss like salad before serving. |
