I had some, uuummm, computation issues when I made this last year and wound up putting in a whole bag of chocolate chips, 1/2 cup of butter and 1 cup of peanut butter. People at work said it was the best puppy chow they had ever eaten. :)

Proportions are way off, you'll need at least double the chocolate chips, peanut butter, butter and vanilla for 9 cups.

I have been making this for years and a yummy twist is to add a 1/4 tsp. mint extract instead of the vanilla. My recipe never did have the vanilla and you really don't miss it. Try the mint sometime (add or reduce to your taste preference).

Hi Andre,
I would only keep it for a few days, otherwise, if you want to store it for a longer time, freeze it!

I actually don't even use butter. Just melt milk chocolate chips and add about 1-2 tbsp. of peanut putter. melt and then add rice chex, then shake up in a bag of powdered sugar!
