BIKER'S GINGER OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 c. butter, softened
1 egg
1/4 c. light molasses
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. ginger
2 c. quick cooking rolled oats
1 c. raisins
1 c. chopped nuts

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease cookie sheets. In large bowl, beat brown sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add eggs; beat well. Blend in molasses and vanilla. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Drop by rounded tablespoonful 3 inches apart onto prepared cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 7-12 minutes. Remove from cookie sheets. 4 dozen.
