PEANUT SAUCE
Tastes great over noodles and vegetables, or as a sauce over chicken or beef.

2 tbsp. smooth peanut butter
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 to 2 cloves garlic, minced or chopped
1/4 cup water
1 tbsp. brown sugar
juice from half a lemon (can be less, depending on your tastes)

In a non-stick pan, combine all ingredients, stirring constantly over medium heat until peanut butter has melted.

Note: You can do this in the microwave too, for about 30 to 40 seconds.

Wow, great and really simple! I can't find the brown sugar (not good at the holidays!) so I substituted some maple syrup and a little bit of raw sugar. Really really good over stir fry and noodles!

Just made this and it is delicious. I didn't use all of it and after reading the comments I added some hot sauce and dug up some peanuts and it's even better. This was awesome with pasta noodles and Teriyaki chicken.

This was really easy to make. It was very good! A little too salty for me - I think next time I might add a tiny bit of water so that it's not so thick, too. I will make it again soon!

This sauce is wonderful! Thank you for the simple and easy recipe. I made it today and used it on top of rice noodles and stir-fried veggies and it was delicious. I doubled the batch and made some substitutions. I used lime juice instead of lemon, Bragg's liquid aminos instead of soy sauce, used about 1/2 Tbsp. of sugar (used raw organic sugar) added extra water to make the sauce a bit thinner, and added a pinch of cayenne pepper and two pinches of garan marsala. It was really amazing! I love how easy it is to customize. Thanks again!

Perfect!! I needed a quick peanut sauce recipe, and didn't have coconut milk! completely saved my dinner! I served it as a dipping sauce for ostrich and beef satay skewers. What can I say! Delicious! Didn't change a thing, just doubled the amount. THANK YOU LAURA!!!

This recipe was great and easy to make. I was a kitchen director for a day camp program this past summer and I had to feed all the leaders lunch for all 8 weeks of the program. I was running out of ideas as to what to make and when I found this I figured I'd try it out and it was a hit especially with one of the day camp directors who hated peanut butter. It was pretty funny because he told me I converted him into liking peanut butter with this peanut sauce recipe.
Thank you for sharing this recipe, Laura.

This sauce is amazing! I only put 2 tsp of white sugar in and it was a little salty but SO easy (for a starter cook like myself) and delicious! I put it over snap peas and had enough left over to steam some brussels sprouts and pour it over them too. I just boiled both and the sauce is salty enough to just add and serve! Thanks!
