1 c. uncooked macaroni (4 oz.)
4 oz. sharp cheese, cut up (1 c.)
1 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper

Drop 4 ounces macaroni into 3 cups rapidly boiling salted water (2 teaspoons salt). Bring back to rapid boil. Cook, stirring constantly, for 3 minutes. Cover with tight-fitting lid, remove from heat and let stand 10 minutes. Rinse with hot water; drain.

Heat oven to 350 degrees (moderate). Place alternating layers of macaroni, cheese and milk in greased 1 quart baking dish. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and paprika. Bake 35 to 45 minutes until golden brown on top. 4 servings.

LEFTOVER MACARONI AND CHEESE? Combine with 1/2 pound cooked hamburger, heat and serve another time.
