3 (3 oz.) pkgs. vanilla instant pudding (may use sugar-free)
5 c. milk (2% is fine)
6 bananas
1 lg. box vanilla wafers
1 (8 oz.) sour cream
1 (13 oz.) Cool Whip

Mix pudding and milk. Add sour cream and 1/3 of Cool Whip. In large Tupperware pan, alternate layers of wafers, bananas and pudding mix until all gone. Smooth remaining Cool Whip on top, being careful to completely cover pudding. Sprinkle with vanilla wafer crumbs. Chill. (This will keep several days. Even people who don't usually like banana pudding like this recipe. My mother-in-law gave it to me and I've used it for years!)
