OATMEAL BREAKFAST COOKIES 
3/4 c. soft butter or light olive oil
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
3 tbsp. molasses
1/2 c. low fat milk
1 c. whole wheat flour
1 c. bran
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 c. quick cooking oats
1-2 c. raisins

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Have ready a greased cookie sheet. Blend butter or oil, sugar, eggs, molasses and milk. Add flour, bran, baking soda and salt and mix well. Blend in oats and raisins. Drop by large tablespoonfuls onto prepared cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Cool on rack. Makes 4 dozen cookies, 1 teaspoon bran per cookie.
