3/4 c. soft butter or light olive oil
1 c. brown sugar
3 egg whites
3 tbsp. molasses
1/2 c. skim milk
1 c. bran (half wheat half oat)
1 c. whole wheat blend flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 c. quick cooking oats
1 to 2 c. raisins

These cookies are a dream come true for kids and other people who tend to skip breakfast.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease cookie sheets. Blend butter or oil, sugar, eggs, molasses and milk. Add flour, bran, baking soda and salt and mix well. Blend in oats and raisins. Drop large tablespoons onto prepared cookie sheet.

Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 4 dozen cookies. Bran per cookie: 1 teaspoon.
