1 1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. old-fashioned rolled oats
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1 1/2 stick butter
4 c. apples, thinly sliced
3 tbsp. butter, melted
2 tsp. lemon juice
3/4 tsp. cinnamon

Sift flour, baking soda, salt into large bowl. Add oats and brown sugar. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Press half of the mixture evenly in a greased 9 inch square pan. Combine apples, melted butter, lemon juice and cinnamon and toss lightly to blend. Spread evenly in pan. Sprinkle remaining oat mixture over the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 - 50 minutes or until apples are done. Serve with Cool Whip or ice cream.
