APPLE COFFEE CAKE 
2 tbsp. sugar
2 c. Bisquick
1 egg
3/4 c. milk
1 c. chopped apples

Heat oven to 400 degrees (moderate hot). Blend ingredients. Beat vigorously 30 seconds. Spread batter into greased 9 inch round layer pan or 8 or 9 inch square pan. Sprinkle with topping mixture of: 1/3 c. Bisquick 1/4 c. cold butter 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Blend with fork until crumbly. Bake 20 to 25 minutes. Instead of apples you may use: 1 cup fresh berries or 3/4 cup well drained canned berries or 1 cup cut up dates or figs into batter. 8 servings.
