WILD BLACKBERRY COBBLER | |
6 c. blackberries 1 c. sugar #1 1/4 c. sugar #2 1/3 c. cornstarch TOPPING: 2 c. flour 1 c. sugar #3 1 tbsp. baking powder 1 c. milk 1/2 c. butter Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pour sugar #1 over berries and let stand. Drain, reserving juice. In saucepan combine sugar #2 with cornstarch and berry juice. Cook, stirring over medium heat until mixture is thick. Cool slightly and stir into berries. Pour berries into 9x9 ovenproof dish. Combine flour, baking powder and sugar #3 in large bowl. Add milk and butter and beat until smooth. Spoon topping over berries. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Serves 12. |
