SCANDINAVIAN KRINGLE 
1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter, chilled
2 tbsp. cold water

Heat oven to 350 degrees. In a mixing bowl, place flour and butter. With a pastry blender, cut until size of a pea. Sprinkle on water. Mix in with a fork. Divide dough in half. On an ungreased cookie sheet, press each half to form a 12 x 3 inch strip.

PUFF TOPPING:

1 c. water
1/2 c. butter
1 c. flour
3 eggs
1 tsp. almond flavor

In a saucepan, heat water and butter until boiling. Remove from heat and stir in flour. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each one until smooth. Add almond flavor. Spoon over strips. Bake for 50 minutes. Frost while warm.

FROSTING:

1 c. powdered sugar
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. almond flavor
2-3 tbsp. milk

Blend powdered sugar, butter, almond flavor, and milk until smooth. Drizzle over kringle. Sprinkle with nuts.
